Filling The GAP Society is a registered non-profit organization based in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our mission is to support transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individualsโ€”and their familiesโ€”by providing access to gender-affirming care, peer support, and public education.

a) When you visit our website:

  • When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitorโ€™s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
  • An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

b) When you make a donation:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Billing address (if provided)
  • Payment information (processed securely by a third-party provider โ€” we do not store card data)
  • Donation amount and frequency

c) When you contact us or subscribe:

  • Name and contact details
  • Any information you voluntarily provide in your message or form

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using secure technologies and encryption where appropriate. Donation transactions are processed via a PCI-compliant third-party provider. We do not store your credit card details.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics
